In 2013, Yan Fen graduated from University of South Australia with a Bachelor's Degree of Physiotherapy. She then joined Singapore General Hospital (SGH) as a budding Physiotherapist, managing a broad spectrum of patients including those with neurological, oncological and geriatric conditions. Her main specialties are in neurological and vestibular conditions.

 

During her years at SGH, Yan Fen led the Physiotherapy department's Neurology team where she Oversee and facilitate the growth of clinical services within SGH Neurology team.

 

Yan Fen played a pivotal role in establishing the Parkinson's Disease Physiotherapy service at SGH, including outpatient Parkinson Exercise Classes. She also served as a core member of the interprofessional Movement Disorders Team, focusing on holistic and evidence-based care for Parkinson's patients.

Her passion for community service shines through her work, where she conducted workshops for community nurses, caregivers, and Physiotherapists to enhance the management of Parkinson's Disease. Currently, Yan Fen collaborates with Parkinson Society Singapore (PSS) to advance Physiotherapy services within the community

In addition to her extensive experience in  Parkinson's Disease care, Yan Fen has also made valuable contributions to stroke rehabilitation, providing specialized care and support to stroke patients on their journey to recovery.

Rachel Yee Jia Hui

Senior Physiotherapist

Meet Rachel Yee Jia Hui, a seasoned Senior Physiotherapist, whose fascination with the study of movement began with a deep-rooted passion for sports and a curiosity about rehabilitation.

​

In 2018, Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Physiotherapy, launching her remarkable career. Over the past four years, she has gained extensive experience across various medical conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and cardiopulmonary cases during her tenure in an acute hospital.

​

Rachel's true calling lies in helping the geriatric population lead their best lives. She firmly believes in the potential of rehabilitation for all, dedicated to enhancing mobility and overall well-being.

​

Rachel's journey as a Senior Physiotherapist is marked by her unwavering dedication to healthcare. Her enthusiasm for improving the movement and quality of life of her patients is both inspiring and transformative. With Rachel's expertise and heartfelt commitment, she continues to positively impact those she serves.

Daryl Lim Wen Kai
Senior Physiotherapist

Daryl Lim is a experienced Physiotherapist with eight years of dedicated practice in both acute and community hospital settings. He graduated with honors in Physiotherapy in 2015 and has since focused on helping clients with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, and motor neuron disorders.

​

What began as a passion for exercise and sports recovery has evolved into a deep commitment to geriatrics and neurology. Daryl's unchanging vision is to enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals, a mission he has pursued with unwavering dedication.

Daryl stands out not only for his clinical expertise but also for his compassionate approach to patient care. He listens attentively to his patients, tailoring treatment plans to their unique needs. His empathy and dedication have made him a respected figure in his community.

Cheryl Sim

Occupational Therapist

Meet Cheryl Sim, an accomplished Occupational Therapist with over a decade of expertise, primarily in acute hospital care and specialized in inpatient rehabilitation.

​

Her extensive experience centers on assisting patients with neurological conditions such as Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Parkinson's Disease, and Spinal Cord Injury. Cheryl excels in addressing both motor and cognitive challenges.

​

Cheryl is deeply committed to a person-centered approach, striving to understand 'what matters to you' for each client. Her dedication extends beyond the clinical realm as she collaborates closely with clients and their families to enhance their quality of life.

In the ever-evolving field of neurological rehabilitation, Cheryl remains dedicated to continuous learning and providing evidence-based care.
